Welcome to the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Probate, Administration, and Guardianship e-Filing system!

Electronic filing (e-Filing) is the process of transmitting documents to the Supreme Court through an electronic medium, rather than in paper format. Electronic filing permits users to file documents with the Supreme Court at their convenience.  It also permits users to utilize their home computers to send and receive court correspondence, pay fees, receive court notifications, and retrieve case information.

E-Filing is available to registered Judgment Enforcement Registry (JER) clients. By using the user name and password provided by the Sheriff’s Office, a user can file electronic documents with the Supreme Courts of Newfoundland and Labrador.

E-Filing allows a user to electronically file, and pay for, the following Probate, Administration, and Guardianship documents:

  • Notice of Application
  • Withdrawal of Notice of Application
  • Caveat
  • Withdrawal of Caveat
  • Petition for Letters of Probate
  • Petition for Letters of Administration
  • Petition for Letters of Administration, D.B.N.
  • Petition for Letters of Administration, C.T.A.
  • Petition for Letters of Administration, C.T.A., D.B.N.
  • Petition for Letters of Guardianship - Minors
  • Petition for Letters of Guardianship – Mentally Disabled

The e-Filing system also provides an e-Filing user with a Petition Wizard. A user answers five (5) questions and, based upon the answers, the e-Filing system selects the most appropriate type of Petition for Letters.
